*The lack of clear rules and norms is creating distrust among co-workers. AI can improve the work. Your job is to make clear where your judgment begins.*

How does AI-assisted work become both clearer and more trustworthy? You turn rough notes into a clean memo with AI. It is better organized, easier to read, and finished in a fraction of the time.

AI can clean up notes, summarize background material, organize options, and create a useful first draft. These are often forms of friction, not the point of the work. **The opportunity is to use that saved effort where it matters more. Add the things a polished draft cannot supply on its own:**

- **What you noticed**
- **Which tradeoff you chose**
- **What you recommend and why**
- **What you would watch next**
- **What you are willing to stand behind**

A project update can end with: “My recommendation is to delay the launch one week because the client’s main concern is reliability, not speed.”

💡

From the WSJ: As generative AI has swept into the workplace, much of the debate has focused on how it will shape the future. [https://www.wsj.com/tech/ai/ai-company-rules-2c5fe5bc](https://www.wsj.com/tech/ai/ai-company-rules-2c5fe5bc?ref=the-focused-human.com)

A performance review becomes meaningful when it includes specific observations only the manager could have made. A strategy memo becomes useful when its author identifies the risk they believe deserves attention.

> **These additions do more than show that you were involved. They help people trust the work because they can see how you are thinking.**

From a Focused Human perspective, this is an energy question. AI can remove the administrative effort of producing a draft document. **The goal is not to fill that saved energy with more documents. It is to direct it toward judgment, context, and the decisions that need a person who has actually paid attention.**

AI can make the work easier to produce. Use the extra room to make your thinking easier to trust at work.
